As part of the Facilities Management Professional ("FMP") course, Loeb Electric is hosting a networking event with a happy hour, so members of our chapter can mingle with the folks taking their career to the next level.

If there is time, we might be able to take a tour of the facility, which is in excess of 225,000 square feet housing 9,000+ SKU's.  Their office and break areas have a wide variety of LED lighting installed, so members can see the different styles of fixtures.  They also have a wireless control system, that includes occupancy and day-lighting and will demonstrate the user interface of the system during the tour.

Loeb Electric has several examples of LED fixtures in office spaces, as well as occupancy sensors with dimming for those areas.  Tour attendees will also see suspended fixtures being controlled with day-lighting sensors (so they can see how the ones close to the window be dimmed to keep the light levels even throughout the space).  In the warehouse, there are three (3) types of high-bays for comparison and you'll also see the interface of the wireless controls system Loeb Electric has installed.  You'll be able to see how it can be controlled and monitored to help them track energy usage, troubleshooting, and controlability.

Loeb Electric has 55 employees and 13 delivery trucks. They annually handle order totals for national and local accounts, 70,400 and 152,156 respectively, which is on track for 25% growth in orders this year.  They have comprehensive relationships with UPS, FEDEX, and several other national and international freight/logistics companies.

Parking Information:  Pull into 1800 E. 5th Ave and turn right, and go to the east side of the building.  IFMA parking will be reserved along the East side of the building, and the spaces just behind those (the two rows inside the blue circle on the attached map).  Please enter through the double doors on that side of the building.  Please see the attached aerial photograph showing the location for parking.
