Central Ohio IFMA Steps Up

The Community Service Committee directs and supports the members of our chapter in providing assistance to those in need in the central Ohio community. To accomplish this, the committee strives to involve members in community projects.

Community Service projects range from our annual Adopt-a-School program to supporting Directions for Youth, St. John’s summer programs and their food bank, as well as pitching in to help clean areas around Children’s Hospital with Keep Columbus Beautiful.

The committee works to promote Community Service within our chapter by communicating our ongoing projects and soliciting new ideas from membership.

Some of the past project have included:

  • Weiland Elementary School – Collecting school supplies and uniforms for students

  • St John’s Pantry – IFMA Members assist with projects such as painting and repairs to the facility

  • Keep Columbus Beautiful – A civic organization that engages our community to participate in trash pick-ups around the city as well as adopting areas to clean up on an ongoing basis

  • Project Seedlings - is a non profit organization that does environmental education with inner city youth through two locations of the Boys and Girls Club.
